Pelvic floor muscles are the “hidden” internal muscles that support the bladder and bowel in men, and the bladder, bowel and uterus in women.
If the pelvic floor muscles are not functioning optimally this may result in problems such as incontinence, difficulty emptying the bladder or bowel, pelvic organ prolapse in women, or sexual and/or pelvic pain in both men and women.
We provide welcoming, inclusive care from your first point of contact with our clinic through to the care provided by the physiotherapists.
We understand every person has unique needs and may come from a variety of cultural, religious, racial, ethnic, gender and sexual identities. Pelvic health conditions can present in any person and the intimate nature of these conditions can make it challenging to seek help.
At The Pelvic Health Clinic every person’s individual needs and concerns are addressed holistically.
